The UK National Lottery - The nation's favourite

UK Lotto draws take place on Wednesday and Saturday nights and offer jackpots worth millions of pounds. The results of The UK National Lottery appear shortly after the draws are made, with a breakdown of prizes available soon after.

The nation's favourite

It is operated by Camelot Group, to whom the licence was granted in 1994, 2001 and again in 2007. All prizes are paid as a lump sum and are tax-free. Lottery tickets and scratch cards (introduced in 1995) may be bought only by people of at least 16 years of age.

You can play Lotto online every day from 8:00am (sometimes earlier) until 11:00pm. But remember: Lotto ticket sales close from 7:30pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday and Saturday for that evening's draw. To play Lotto on the day, you'll need to buy your ticket before 7:30pm.

Tickets costs £2 per play and include entry to the ‘Millionaire Raffle’ that guarantees £1 million prize in every draw. Alongside the jackpot, that's two chances to become a millionaire. Plus there are 20 prizes of £20,000 in every draw. Remember, anyone can win with Lotto.

The Millionaire Raffle

You automatically get a randomly-generated Millionaire Raffle entry with every line of Lotto numbers you play. The Millionaire Raffle takes place on the same day as the Lotto draw you have entered. Millionaire Raffle entries start with four letters that spell out a colour and are followed by eight numbers.

This gives you two chances to become a millionaire with every Lotto ticket. The Millionaire Raffle has two prize tiers in every draw – one guaranteed £1 million prize and 20 guaranteed prizes of £20,000.

The Millionaire Raffle takes place on each Lotto draw day, and at least 21 raffle numbers will be selected. We draw the £1 million winning raffle number first, followed by the 20 prizes of £20,000

When you have a moment, you can get familiar with еhe lottery, officially known as Sorteo Extraordinario de Navidad or Loteria de Navidad. The Spanish Christmas lottery is the second longest continuously running lottery in the world.
