Whether you want to splash out on the very best in designer clothes or just love luxury window shopping, Bond Street and Mayfair are the ideal places to go for some extravagant retail therapy.

Bond Street remains a much-loved destination for celebrities

Bond Street is revered throughout the world for its wealth of elegant stores, exclusive brands, designer fashion, luxury goods, fine jewels, art and antiques. Set in the heart of historic Mayfair, in London’s popular West End, Bond Street has become a haven for gracious living.

Home to some of the world’s most prestigious retailers including Asprey, Bulgari, Burberry, Chanel, Cartier, Dolce Gabbana, Hermès, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Mulberry, Ralph Lauren and Tiffany Co. Bond Street offers an unrivalled mix of history, traditional elegance and modern luxury.

Bond Street and its surrounding area boasts a impressive number of Royal Warranties and is home to some of the world’s most individual and unique hotels and restaurants, including Claridge’s and The Ritz, as well fine establishments such as The Royal Academy of Art and the world famous auction house, Sotheby’s.

A playground for society’s wealthiest people

Since its foundation in 1700, Bond Street has been a playground for society’s wealthiest, most stylish and influential people. Past residents of the street have included Admiral Horatio Nelson and Lady Emma Hamilton as well as a number of renowned authors and poets.

Today over 300 years on, Bond Street remains a much-loved destination for celebrities, socialites and the international jet set.

Did you know?

Bond Street does not appear on the original plans for the Central London Railway, with its place between Oxford Circus and Marble Arch taken instead by a proposed Davies Street station.

Bond Street won out, however, and the station opened three months after the rest of the CLR in September 1900. From 2018, if things go to plan, it will also form part of Crossrail line 1.

And after London why not to visit New York? One of the most iconic cities in the world, a concrete jungle and the premier shopping capital – New York holds a place in the heart of anyone who visits. Experience the pulse of the ‘city that never sleeps’ with a holiday to New York in 2017.
