Dubai is a great choice if you fancy some action

There’s a lot you can do in Dubai, from watching movies, going to a concert, shopping or even just chilling at your favorite spot.

GITEX Shopper is the largest gathering of leading ITC retailers and suppliers in the region. This event is huge and has a lot of traction within and beyond the borders of the UAE. Visitors from all over the Middle East, North Africa, and the Indian Sub-Continent are attending the Event.

This high-energy event attracts the biggest names in the retail sector with special releases and offers across the best in technology, entertainment and communication products.

Take a stroll around the Bastakiya Quarter on the Dubai Creek. Among the restored buildings are cafés and independent galleries. Wander west towards the Dubai Museum at Al Fahidi Street, which explores the city’s history and showcases archaeological finds.

Dominating the Downtown district is the Burj Khalifa, at 1 Emaar Boulevard, the tallest building in the world at 2,716ft. Take in the views from At the Top, the 124th-floor observatory deck.

Back at ground level, don’t miss the dancing Dubai Fountains, which spring to life every half-hour from 6pm to 11pm. Choreographed to music, the jets shoot 500ft into the air against the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa.

World’s largest indoor ski slope

Discover Dubai’s arty side at Al Quoz, near the Mall of the Emirates (home to the world’s largest indoor ski slope). Galleries and studios around Al-Serkal Avenue include Carbon 12 and the Green Art Gallery.

Fan of a hip swivel and a bit of footwork?

Well, you can bailar the night away at Mazina in the Address Dubai Marina every Thursday and Friday night from 9pm to 2am at a salsa night. For Dhs50 you’ll get a free house drink and get to work with the professional instructor who will be there all night. It’s like a fitness class and a night out all rolled into one.

Is your idea of a great night out more Monopoly and Settlers of Catan than it is bottle service and queues at clubs?

Well then you’ll want to go to the Recess Game Night in Business Bay tonight. There will be classic games, video games and some nostalgic competitions – running from 8pm to 11pm. It’s free to attend, and ladies get three free drinks.

And after Dubai why not to visit New York? One of the most iconic cities in the world, a concrete jungle and the premier shopping capital – New York holds a place in the heart of anyone who visits. Experience the pulse of the ‘city that never sleeps’ with a holiday to New York in 2017.
