Powerball. American Lottery

Introducing the American Lottery Powerball

Powerball is one of the largest lotteries in the United States in terms of coverage and number of participants.
The first Powerball draw was held in the far 1988 and at first it was called "Lotto America". But already in the year 1992 it got rebranded and changed the name to Powerball. The tickets can be purchased in most states of the country.

In Powerball there are two lottery machines with balls. The rules are quite simple: you need to cross 5 out of 59 numbers, as well as 1 additional number out of 35 (a red Powerball).

The chances to win the Jack Pot are 1 to 175,000,000 million. The ticket costs 2 US dollars.

Amounts of Jackpot prizes in the Powerball sometimes would achieve huge and even somewhat filthy sums. To this day, the biggest Jackpot on one option (line) was won on May 18, 2013, the amount was more than half a billion US dollars, to be more precise 590 million dollars.

Powerball lottery draws are held on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 23:00 European time and broadcast on central television channels.

There are 9 prize categories to win. See the information in the table below:
